TMA

A TMA absorbs the impact of collisions. It is usually placed in front of a roadwork to ensure the safety of road users and road workers.

The TMAs are placed on the back of a truck so that drivers who do not see the warning signs and collide with the crash absorber have the advantage of the truck’s weight to absorb the impact.

Distinctive appearance

Above the crash pillow is a matrix sign informing the traffic about the changes on the road. The crash absorber is highly visible because of its alternating lights and the red and white reflection strips on the warning board. The crash cushion is available for speeds from 70 to 130 km/h. The crash absorber is NCHRP 350 and TNO certified. Different types of TMAs are available for different European countries.
